70" cutlass SX (W32) Convertible
I consider to sell my 1970 Cutlass SX, its a W32 car with a non # matching 455 F block ( disasembled ready for machine shop.) i have fresh ported and machined J heads and a new mild comp cam to go with .
+ a 70' 4bbl intake and several Qjets to go with it.
The frame is fresh powder coated, Global west front suspension and Brakes ( i have the OEM Brakes) . All parts are perfectly labelled to put back together. the interior is almost perfect. ALL TRIM are there ( all Oem in great shape)
Its a non AC car but i have the 70' AC (option) with all engine bay and cabine parts to go with it.
Interior parts are in perfect condition. The Top needs to be redone, but the frame is in perfect condition.
I have seen 1 little paint blister on the Driver side front fender all the way on the bottom, the hood has a paint scratch but could be fixed with paint correction.
I am not sure if it is the OEM paint but if it was redone then definitly in the end 70s or beginning 80s since its a 1 stage OEM paint.
NO RUST, NO HOLES, NO BONDO.
7500$

Whoever want to buy it can do that. Since it's not a #matching block it doesnt matter much. The J heads are good and ready to go on.

But the oem specs the car came with.

No way in hell a scan of original looks like that! No marks on it whatsoever from where it was stuck inside the car. Bullshit. Then why would you take 5k of value out it for later block and heads? Post a clearer build sheet pic. Funny it doesn't even show what gear is in it. Not all did.

Ok you're totally out of touch. That build sheet is questionable. Way too nice for anything 50 years old. It may really be a W32 convertible. Why devalue it with a later engine? Take a pic of data plate and vin.

Look at he 19 year olds 1970 Y79 car and compare build sheets. If yours was battered as you say and re scanned it would show signs of that. Does the TH400 match VIN numbers to confirm W32???

you posted several times here without any positive contribution.

It always amazes me when people come on here and beat the hell out of somebody's ad when they have no interest in buying. If they are not an interested buyer they should keep their comments to themselves unless the seller ask for opinions.

Car looks and sounds like a good deal to me. Especially an SX ragtop. My Dad had a couple as friends. The wife drove a light green 71 SX ragtop. Only one I saw for decades.
Good luck with your sale. I don't see that sitting for long.

Looks like a cool project - good luck with the sale. I see that you don't have the original 455, but do you have the original OG coded/tagged TH400 transmission? That in itself is ironclad proof of a W32 car.
For comparison, this is the Linden build sheet for my 1970 SX convertible produced in December 1969, about 5-6 weeks before yours.
