I asked for some additional documentation and the vins match all around and ow trans with TM axle.
Look insane and no one is bidding.
What do you think, someone needs to try and get this thing. Look at its options.
It has come time to thin the herd a little it was a tough decision as to which ones had to go the 68 W30 is an amazingly original car. Here is a shot of the trans when I pulled to reseal it it had a front pump seal leak after 52 years things dry out. This is a good documentation piece for restoration of a 68 W30 trans never been out of the car

Fred,
You don't show it but the PoP has the engine code as proof that it's a W30 as well.

Three days left on the bidding, current bid is $22,250. The current bid, and days left are identified at the very top of the post. I'm seriously thinking of throwing my hat in the ring on this one! I'll have to see where it's at a couple days from now.
If Fred is selling a car and he tells you something about it you can take that all the way to the bank! I've seen some of his cars and they are the best of the best. If I had the money I would pay what ever it took to get. Sadly I'm broke! But to anybody out there wants to know my Birthday is at the end of the month!!! Just saying Snicker Snicker
GLWS, Fred. I was just looking at the listing, and the bidding is going to take off starting NOW. A real player just joined, upping the bid from $27k to $32k.

Jeff - I just went to the site via the original link above and it's still showing a high bid of $27K. Can you explain what's going on, I can't see a bid of $32K?

*shrug*
I dunno... refresh your browser? Don't use Internet Explorer? The $32k bid was placed at 9:02am, and it's still showing as high bid.
The price was a little low but not out of line. 68's and 69's don't bring the kind of money 70-71's do.
I get that, but what I find to be odd is that there was no last-minute bidding, which you typically see in any auction. There was a grand total of one last minute bid, essentially very little action.
The 68's are my favorite, and this was certainly an unusual (and in a good way) color combo. I can't say that I've ever seen another 68 in that color, let alone a W-30 with a red W-36 stripe.
The COVID19 pandemic has really impacted the classic car auction scene. It's not like it was back in 2019. The cars were selling fast and high back then but after the pandemic hit, auctions died down and the values of these cars took a bit of a hit.
In addition, you have a presidential election coming up in a few weeks. Investors and money gets a little tighter around that time.
