66 ?442? on local craigslist $1k

Title of the ad says "1966 cutlass" but man that car has all the correct 442 trim (except the hood) makes me wonder if its not really a 442.

Wish i had $1k to blow, i could easily part it out and make the money back. Maybe someone else here might want to try...

Would be nice to see the inside and know what engine/trans it has. Anyone close enough to ph local to get the cowl info?

I called but no answer. Hopefully he call me back. Prob an older clone job from the 80's but well worth it in parts alone.

Possibly, but you won't know till you get the VIN off it. BTW I can't see the 442 emblems that should be on the back 1/4 panels. The hood is an easy explanation if it got damaged, probably cheaper to get a stocker Cutlass one with the hood spear. Hope he calls you back.
