'57 Olds 88 For Sale?
I finally got the OK from the wife to buy this car....I've been trying to get it for over a year! 45,000 orig mi., orig paint, orig interior, this car is original down to the core! Story was it was in an estate in Brooklyn where the car has been sitting in the garage since the last reggie in 1977! The car was parked for reasons unknown. Two years ago, the estate sold, and the siblings had to remove the car. They have an accountant relative, and asked him for help. He called the owner of one of my accounts (a body shop) and asked for a favor to tow the car out of there, and store it in his yard. So the last two years, the car has been outside. I've been trying to purchase it. The siblings are MIA for two years, and after several attempts to get a hold of them, the shop owner needs the car out! So I get the car, unfortunately, with no paperwork.
Car has one rot area on the lower right wheel well in rear. Bottom of doors, and everywhere else is rust free and original. The left rear floor pan is shot due to the drivers window being off track and laying in door. Rain did its job there. All chrome is pitted inside and out. All trim is present, including hubcaps. Inside the trunk is almost like the day it left the factory. All glass is good. Headliner, door panels and seats are in excellent original condition with most of the thick clear plastic covers remaining. Rubber floor covering is shot! Dash is excellent. Car has not run in 35 years. I pulled all plugs, and all looked good but for one. The electrode was buried in baked on oil. So I assume the reason it was parked was due to the fact it was running on 7 cyls. The rear springs have flattened out.
Now, I bought this car for 2 reasons! 1- To save it, 2-to flip it...although, if I could sell my cutlass, I would keep this as it could be in the garage! The car is very straight, and the original black paint still would shine with a nice buffing!
I understand the rules here are to post a price, but am unsure of what would be reasonable! If I put a number on it, I wouldn't want it to be too high, although not too low either! Keep in mind, I would not give any paperwork with the sale...
If anyone would like to make a reasonable offer, you can PM me...or if anyone would like to make a suggestion on a reasonable price to ask, please post here!
I've attached pics of the car! Thank you for reading and being patient!

Thanks but its just not realistic right now. I need to finish paying doc bills and finish my shop before I buy anything thing that is not to flip.
I wasn't sure what to ask, thats why I was asking for a little help in my original post. When I didn't get any replies, the car was let go for $1500..
IMHO, that's a GREAT deal!!!!
