1978 Oldsmobile Omega SX

Selling my 78 SX. Very tough decision as you can see why but I have 4 other cars and trucks and I'm really a gbody guy. I'm selling my Omega and my Regal and getting a gbody Hurst or 442. Here's your chance to be different at track/show or cruise nights

This Omega is a very clean car. It's a real SX with saddle interior. Has buckets and console. Interior is in wonderful shape (needs headliner). 1 owner car, clean title. Paint appears to be original (will buff out good). Odometer reads 64k. Body is SOLID. Small rust spot on lower door and has rust on rear bumper. Front chrom bumper is nice. All body chrome is nice and intact, window sweeps are solid. Trunk has no rust. I actually had to take the padding out of trunk to get pics(it had never been taken out). Has factory 14" rims in nice shape with matching spare. Trunk lid has no rust.

Interior is deep colored. Overall, seats are real nice. There is rip in drivers seat. Amish upholstery shop stated it can be sewn if a 3rd stitch line is added. No cracks in dash or on rear board. Console is complete with no cracks. Has rally gauges and Equus gauges. Kenwood cd player but also have original 8 track stereo. Have original GM mats. Front door panels at in great shape and woodgrain bezels are deep colored.

Entire engine compartment was stripped and painted along with frame. Engine is a rebuilt Olds 350 that runs great. .030 over, redone stock heads, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Hooker Competition headers, mini starter, MSD wiring, Holley carb (have a quadrajet if you like). TH350 with new converter. Have a exhaust with Flowmasters mufflers (not installed).

I just drive my Regal and Cutlass and I'm starting to put some $$ into my Cutlass. Goal was to paint black/gold and make Omega a show/track car one day but that's not going to happen no time soon and this car is too nice to sit. However, this car will make a great show/track car.

I will trade/deal for a gbody hurst or 442. Omega is priced at $5200 obo. I may consider selling just the body.

Yes man, i am going to do it and yes this will make someone very happy. I sold car on ebay a few months ago but buyer didn't pan out but I was happy he didn't because of second thoughts. Had a guy offer me $1200 last fall for the entire Omega interior for his Nova but I couldn't do that either. I would like this car to go to a good Olds home before I try evilbay again.

Also, for any trades: The car must have all smog/emissions parts intact or available for state inspection. I am just looking for gbody 442/hurst olds trades. If you car is worth more than SX, I have cash. I'm not looking for a prestige Olds but nice. I may also trade for a 68-72 Cutlass

I think I covered every view on body and interior but I can get more pics of anything on car.

The SX has now moved 200 miles north!
My 17 year old son is the new owner.
Thanks Q!

Anyone have a nice Omega rear bumper for sale?
Anyone have a horn button cover for the steering wheel?
Thanks!

You're welcome Joe. Your son seemed pretty excited. Hope he enjoys it for a very long time.

There's an ad for a 78 Omega listed again. He maybe willing to part with the bumper, worth a try at least.

My 18 yr old really wants a 63 Starfire Coupe that a friend of mine has, but it's in barn find condition and would probably consume every dollar of his and my money just to get it road worthy again!
