I like how the seller phrases the auction. You're bidding on the engine and the keys, and he'll throw in the rest of the car if you're the winning bidder.

It's a beautiful car.

Ha, yeah I saw this one. It is a real beauty and well preserved. I've seen the videos of his on youtube before. He's had this car listed before. He probably didn't get his reserve the first time.

The price guides put this car's value at about $6,000, so he's going to have to go some to find someone willing to pay $10,000 for it. The market for these is just not that large. As nice as it is, he may be owning it for a while, especially when you consider that there is another '76 98 up for sale that IS appropriately priced (assuming his starting bid is his reserve price--there are no bids on this car at the time of this posting).

Almost an exact twin to what the old man had from 76-90! Looks like maybe no 8-track hard to tell, if memory serves it directly goes into the dial face plate which flipped inwards when the tape was installed, also I did not have the twilight sentinel.

His car was Olds company rig, car rode like it was on a cloud and it would bust snow drifts up to the hood and kept going. If memory serves window sticker was $6600-6800.

If memory serves that back seat was awful comfy when I was dating in high school!

if i could use one word to describe this body styling/ interior combination on these cars, it would have to be majestic- even the seats look like king's thrones! i am biased of course, but it is the reason i sought one out in the first place.. i was stuck between an electra, olds 98 and cadillac fleetwood brougham from 72-76 but only the d'elegance version of the caddy as the standard fleetwood seats and door panels just could not compare! so the regency to me had the edge as far as the interior goes since the electra limited velour has that funky pattern on it and the fleetwood d'elegance from 75-76 in great shape are hard to find and too damn expensive when the car is in really nice shape. my 22 cents!
