I like it. Not enough to drag it home and fix it though.
Good luck friend.

what type of clutch linkage is on this car? conventional z bar/ rod type , or hydraulic? sorta tossing around the idea of a big motor/4 speed, sleeper type car.

I do not know how to answer the clutch linkage question properly, but I will try to explain what I have seen.

It is a series of metal links bound together for pivoting action. There is a rod pushing against the fork.

Hope this helps.

Car drives pretty much like new, drivetrain, suspension and steering are all solid.

I did not include this in the original listing so I thought I would add to it here.

I will help with 'shipping' if needed. The car drives great so I can meet someone somewhere within a reasonable distance or extra compensation.

Just had the carburetor rebuilt just because it was old (never been worked on)
starts and runs great.

Everything is negotiable.

I don't think this car is in a bad place Limey LOL. It looks to be only 2 hours from a good home. I used to have a 76 5 speed 442 and I wish I had it back. This Cutlass Supreme is very tempting to say the least.

Trust me I know how you feel about the current state of finances across the country. I am in the same boat. Maybe we can all keep our heads above water for awhile longer. No harm meant in my previous posting.

I gotta agree!!

I like the 78 and up Cutlass, but that 76 is very tempting

That 76 is older than me (I'm a 77 model )

Thanks for the compliments!

I can't wait to see my car either....lol It's going to be a long process to say the least. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress.

Akoostic's 76 is nice and rare. If I had the extra $$$$, I'd have another cutlass next to mine.
