1975 Starfire
This is about the cleanest and straightest '70s-era Starfire I've seen in a while. It's a good thing it's on the other side of the country, or I might have to buy it.
Claimed 59,000 miles, and I could believe it. Nicely equipped, too. He's asking $6800.

One of these popped up on ebay today, and I put a bid in on it. At the moment, I put a maximum bid of $5,000, but the reserve is not met. Given the car's issues, and it has a few, I don't think it's worth a whole lot more than that. I sent the seller a question asking if he would reveal the reserve or at least let me know if my bid is anywhere close. If he's one of these guys who thinks his #4 condition car that has a low following is worth $20,000, there's no hope for me. But if I'm only a few hundred or a thousand away from what he wants, and I end up the high bidder, we might be able to deal. We'll see. As of the moment, he has not responded to my question.

I've always had the same opinion. I've also always thought it was a slight against the legacy of the original Starfires and the wonderful cars the name was attached to in the '50s and '60s to use it for a subcompact, Chevy Monza look-a-like.

Had one for a short time, until it fell apart from rust. A 231 V6 and a 5 spd, so fun to drive, but one of the worst assembled and lousiest quality cars I ever owned, right up there with 1980s AMC, a real POS! LOL.
