1972 Cutlass Supreme

If anyone is looking to do a little early Christmas shopping -
This is a nice 72 supreme. 70k original as documented by the Va title. Protectoplate and owners manual. AC, PS but no PB - you need a strong leg. Everything works, AM radio, lights, buzzer, AC heat. AC is cool, not cold. Runs drives nice, dual Flowmaster exhaust. Paint and chrome are very nice but not show perfect - Quarters were replaced as well as trunk pan section and lower front fender panels - all metal, have photos. Color was changed at the time from saddle bronze to a much nicer Olds radiant metallic green. I don't typically like to deviate from originality, but in this case it works and was done correctly. Plenty more pics available to interested parties. Asking $8750 or close reasonable - no need to sale as I am enjoying cruising. Car is in West Chester PA - Thegift23@yahoo.com.

I myself don't prefer the green cars,
but yours is very nice.
The price seems nice too.
Good luck with the sale!

Ha Ha, not a chance. You need to do something with that 4spd B body setup you are sitting on!!

TTT - 8500 or resonable offer. Runs and drives excellent, everything works. Trying to free up some garage space for a little winter project.

The change to Radiant Green was done very well. Car looks fantastic. This is just a question, not a criticism. Do you know why the car doesn't have PB? I could be wrong but I thought power drum brakes was standard for the first part of 72, and the JL2 power disc became the standard after January. It was my understanding that just the W30 cars didn't get power brakes because of their cam and low vacuum at idle.

The only things that sort of stand out to me is the missing body side moldings and the missing OEM w.washer jug. Neither of those will make or break the sale of the car though.

Good luck with the sale, your price is very reasonable.

Thanks for the compliments. I have added the OEM washer jug. As far as PB, I have no idea. I'll have to check the documents to see exactly what I have - there may be a sales invoice and/or build sheet.

What factory was the car manufactured at? If it was Lansing you could likely find a broadcast card, but that won't tell you about the PB. Lansing was very good at removing all Build Sheets from the car at the end of the assembly line. On the other hand, if it was Freemont, Arlington or Framingham there's a good chance you may find a build sheet with that info. Has the car ever been torn apart inside?

If you want the VIN and Cowl tag decoded to add to the sale, post a pic of each and it would be my pleasure to decode them for you.

Not sure if he sold this Supreme yet, but Bob's a very standup seller and always has very nice cruise-quality 65-72 Oldsmobiles in his personal fleet. He just has a hard time keeping anything for very long. He knows his '72 Supremes as well as anyone else I know. I would have no problem buying an Olds from him with a lot of good pics and detailed descriptions.
