What is your location? Any inside shots ? Does it have third seat? Any idea of the mileage?Assume it has front disc brakes.....Any History that you could reveal about the car other than Cal car?
Sorry about the questions, but I am looking for one!
Thanks,
Ted

More pics.
This car was owned by other members, prior.
Odometer shows 50,248, which is believed to be in excess of mechanical limits.
Lots of receipts for work and maintenance.
Yes, third seat. Yes, disc brakes.

We started to perform some maintenence work. While it did drive nice, we are rebuilding the front end. New springs, balljoints, bushings, rebuilding the leaking power steering, etc.
Change fluid in the trans and rear. Inspect brakes.
It should be ready for a cross country jaunt, soon. Fly in Drive it home.

That is one nice-looking wagon at a very attractive price. I wish I had the room for it. Have you considered advertising it over at stationwagonforums.com? Those guys live, eat, and breathe station wagons.

Wagons have always been a big part of Americana.
I spent a lot of time, having a neighbor dive me and my buddy to our grade school sporting events. Mom and dad upgraded the '69 Chevelle Wagon to a'77 Olds Wagon.
Today they are still great family fun for shows, swaps, cruising and touring events.

Looks like a good car to start with. But as I'm finding out, it costs way more than you will ever recover to do a wagon right. Mine is basically done except for the interior and I have at least $25K in it. Interior will probably cost $5-6K. Something to keep in mind unless your a painter or upholsterer.

Not Really. Several places claim to have molded carpet sets. I feel that these are probably just 4 door sets, since they all say it doesn't have the piece under a seat. You will need to buy extra yardage to have this taken care of as well as the tail gate and rear compartment panels. A few places claim to sell headliner kits. Mostly wrong materials and/or colors. SMS has correct materials and colors and will even build you a kit. Of course this costs significantly more than the other places. I don't know of any door panels, especially for the long back door on the three seat wagons. You can buy reproduction material from SMS and have your interior shop rebuild your door panels. Seat covers will have to be sewn. Once again SMS carries repro material. This stuff is high, so you might be able to save some $ if you don't care about color or grain and buy some cheaper yardage. Inner and outer window fuzzies are now available. Fusick has some, as well as Pete Lohr. Petes operation is einstyn.com and he has been a big help to me, as he is continually fabricating various wagon parts for GM A-Body wagons. Heres' my wagon:

Funny thing about this Wagon, the Old Hippie I got this from had a trailer Queen W-30 Rag Top, which he understandably did not drive, but did drive this Wagon on a regular basis, for his Olds fix.
Video of it running.......good idea.

Just for the record. My Vista Cruiser is finally done. Interior was much more than expected. Also had to completely redo A/C system. Final cost just south of $40K. The good news is Hagerty will insure these cars up to $40K, so they must have more value than I originally thought. Still feel like I am extremely upside down in this car.
