Very nice car. My 71 442 (non-W30) hardtop was originally Bittersweet with white top and stripes with black/white interior. It's now red with black stripes and top. Right after high school I had a 71 442 in Sienna with black stripes and black/white interior. Just don't see too many in either of those colors.
If I could afford to throw 100 grand at it, I think it'd be easy enough to get them reroute the heater hose.

Thanks Ron... I love the Bittersweet color on these cars. Body shop guys come and go so I'd have to really dig deep to find names of who specifically did the restoration work. You know how that goes...

From John, the owner...
Restoration was done by three of the most widely respected Olds guys in the Midwest, if not the country. Mechanical and complete supervision of the restoration performed by Randy Bardle. Randy has been involved with these 70-72 442’s and W-30’s for almost 40 years. He has also been an OCA National Level judge on these same cars for over 20 years. He literally knows every nut and bolt on these cars. Under his watchful eye NOS parts (where available) were used in the restoration.
The engine was rebuilt by a friend of Randy’s who has been rebuilding these monster 455’s for over 30 years. No expenses spared in the rebuild.
The paint and body work were performed by Jim Novelli. Jim, has over 30 years experience with these A body cars. I call Jim the Michelangelo of metal and the Picasso of paint. He is that good. Jim by his own account has done the paint and body work on over 30 of these cars. The 442 and W-30’s he has done are major show winners when shown. If you want to see another perfect paint and body job look at the Sebring Yellow 70 442 4 speed W-30 convertible running through Mecum in Kissimmee this upcoming weekend. You will be hard pressed to find any flaws. I have watched people walk around this car as well as mine with a “I can’t believe this car is this nice” look on their face.
Any questions please feel free to call me.

Thanks for the very kind words. The car is even nicer in person. The same paint and body guy did a 70 W30 Sebring Yellow 442 4 speed convertible that just sold for $247,500 at Mecum Kissimmee.
I would assume being from PA. you are familiar with
Thorton Restorations. Last I heard they were quoting a bare minimum cost to restore our A body cars at a minimum of $100,000.
If you know anyone looking for a truly spectacular car please let them know about mine.
Have a great weekend.

Does anyone know who owns this car? I’m not in line to buy it but this thread confuses me as to the ownership.
