Denver Craigslist
1971 oldsmobile cutlass
fuel: gas
odometer: 123456
title status: clean

Nice driver. Gets compliments all day long. It’s not perfect so I’m not asking the “It’s perfect” price. Paint has imperfections and the interior does too.
Clean and clear title in my name.
Emails will be ignored.
Asking $13,500
Possible trades With cash

It would be a Cutlass Supreme SX if it had a numbers matching 455 in there, which is Y79 RPO. The odds of that obviously not original condition engine being the one that came with the car are not large. There's a lot of other items an SX would have that it does not.

I don't know the answer to my questions - albeit, the reason I'm asking:
(1) It appears there's an AC box on the firewall & the AC vacuum tank on the firewall, but I see no AC compressor. Sound correct?
(2) If this were a 455 wouldn't the Generator be on the other (passenger) RH side?
(3) Or, is it a 350 since the Generator is on the (driver) LH side but doesn't have AC?
Sometimes I try to learn stuff.

You're correct with reference to the fact it's an alternator. Perhaps someone should have informed Oldsmobile all of their manuals through at least 1972 are incorrect in nomenclature. Find me a reference in any Factory Assembly Manual or Chassis Service Manual where an "Alternator" is listed.

I'll bet a lot of things about that car have been changed, I don't think that hood and grilles are original for a supreme, I'm guessing engine and brackets, etc are a hodge podge of parts, still not a bad car for the price if not rusty...Ac compressor and brackets are missing, Norm.
