Something just doesn't sit right aobut this car for me.

Blue what? That's not right.

Ok so it has E heads.....

But doesn't this broadcast card say W30 on it? Or is that U80?

I believe that it would have W30 in box 3 in the 2nd row. The glare prevents me from seeing it, if there. I would hope that "dealers" don't only join this site to sell their cars.

That appears to be a repro door sticker, if built in October of 1970, it would be a 1971 car. The VIN given on the sticker indicates a '70. So which is it?

Well this shows the car being built the second week of October in 1969 sooooo.....you figure it out.
There just are to many inconsistencies with this thing for someone to pay almost $100,000 for it.

The blue VIN sticker on the door is obviously a repro - heck, it's stuck on OVER the new paint (and poorly stuck on at that). Whoever printed this sticker is clueless that an October-built 1970 model would have been built in Oct 1969, not 1970...

Of course, it's things like this that make me question "documentation" on fully "restored" cars.

Didn't they sometimes put a wad of sealer on those rivets?

Yes

When I got my car the cowl tag was hanging by one rivet & I can't remember if it had caulking in it. I was worried about reattaching my cowl tag by putting a hole through the center of the new rivets and using a small screw and nut with washers to crush the rivet. A couple people told me it was common to have the rivets filled with caulk so the hole wouldn't be seen anyway.
