The seller apparently didn't know it was a Faux Four Two until called out by comments in the listing. Mandatory repro wing, added W25 hood, ersatz W30 dress up, etc. The outside mirrors are incorrect, not only because of the 1971-up heads but also the standoffs, as evidenced by the wonky angle they sit at. I always have to laugh when people go through the trouble and expense of using wire hose clamps and all the repro paper stickers but can't be bothered to use the correct alternator or correct master cylinder when they do the disc brake conversion. Of course it'd had every option in the book added when it was reborn, but Rally Pac AND aftermarket gauges always looks silly. Car originally had a blue interior according to the cowl tag. The appraisal is a joke. $52K? Wow!
My biggest question on this one was how in the world did they get the installation of the "442" on the nose so wrong??? I've never seen one that bad. What a mess.
Indeed. I’ve still got issues 5 years out with PO / restorer/ body person of mine regarding numeral placement, but this ‘70 ‘sinking’ hood look is a first.
Details matter.

Considering that the tooth has bosses where the holes are supposed to be drilled...
I mean, seriously, how much of an idiot do you have to be to get this wrong?
Not having a tooth in front of me to see, but is it possible it could be installed upside down? It possibly looks like that's the case. The numbers are in the right place if it were.
