SOLD 1970 Cutlass S Survivor for sale in the Houston area Astro Blue
I'm posting this ad to help my first cousin sell his car who is battling cancer.
I suggested to him this would be a good place to list it since the car is a mostly unmodified survivor and would be seen by Olds people.
The car is in Houston, TX and he has owned it since 2002.
The mileage was 58555 when he purchased it and now is 63629 believed to be original mileage.
Looks to have been garage kept its entire life given the condition but we have no info before 2002.
It is an Astro Blue on Blue Cutlass S with 350 2 barrel turbo 350 trans. P/S, P/drum brakes, A/C, with aftermarket stereo.
Original interior, The paint has probably been redone or touched up. My cousin says he's seen some paint on a bit of chrome trim.
I have lots of recent photos so if interested, please ask and I can send more. Also a couple of short videos of it running.
He is undergoing chemo every other week so can show it on a week when not doing the treatment.
I last drove it in 2020 and it drove fine but pulled a bit when stopping so probably some brake work needed.
He drives it occasionally to the local starbucks but doesn't take it on the freeway anymore.
If it sits longer than a few weeks between starts the transmission seeps fluid.
He would like 18K for it, after painting, and will use the money to help pay for his ongoing treatment.
If interested I can answer more questions about it and if serious about buying put you in touch with him.
We would also appreciate you keeping him and our family in your thoughts.
Thank You for looking.
June 2023 Update, The car has been repainted with spots on roof and quarter panels repaired.
I've added some current photos at the bottom of the photo group.

Car looks really nice Al - great color combination. How does the motor run and does the A/C work ? I’m sure that the car will find a good home. Prayers & positive thoughts for your cousin - sucks that he has to sell her. #Fuckcancer

To attempt and answere your question about why the ruff paint on the C pillars, both sides; I believe it may be because before the car was painted the second time , it may have possible had a vinyl top that was removed and the ruff roof body seal area was never completely block sanded smooth .The factory with vinyl top cars kept this area ruff/ leaded and only skim coated because it was covered.. One way to confirm if the cutlass was in fact a prior vinyl top car is with the paint code on the cowl tag having a numeric code beside the paint code letter.
Wonderful surviver - and great that you help with posting with those honest pics for your cousin.
Update,
June '23, the car has been repainted and roughness on c pillars and fenders addressed.
The price is now 18K after the painting.
I've added new photos at the bottom of the original ad, and also below.

Update, December 1st 2023.
The price has been reduced to $15,000.
It is a beautiful looking car and it would be great if an Olds fan would step up and become its next caretaker.
If seriously interested please send me a pmail. Thanks.
The car was sold today to someone who contacted me through this forum. My Cousin is still fighting his battle with the cancer. We wish everyone a Happy 2024!
