Yeah I talked to the guy selling it, seems like he’s a small dealer who has bought the car back from previous owners a time or two.
I asked for some pics of the documentation. I’m sure some of you can verify if it’s a legit Rallye 350. He wouldn’t share the vin but confirmed it matched the paperwork.

The documentation is very cool. Note that the emission decal shows it is a QB motor! (3rd line from the bottom)
It depends how much you like it. I am restoring a rallye and have been watching the market pretty close for a few years now. This one has great documentation, but the aftermarket air hurts and it is unrestored. It is great that it is original, but for over 40k there have been some super nice fully restored ones out there.
I always like to post pictures on for sale ads for future reference.
Is it just me or do the wheels look like a different yellow? Does the ad say repainted but has original stripes? Guessing they mean original stripes were reapplied.
The Sebring Yellow paint was resprayed in 1980. The paint looks good to this day, with only mirror chips and scratches. It has not been touched up. The stripes are original. There is a brand new set of stripe decals in the trunk. The body looks great and shows no sign of repair or rust bubbles. It is amazing to see such a good body and paint after over 40 years.
So it's been repainted but has the original stripes still? Gotta love car dealers and their careful wording. It's a shame that Oldsmobile didn't offer a W-31 engine in a Rallye 350. Price seems high to me but I am proved wrong over and over. Just need someone that likes the color.

I like the side W-25 stripes, wish more cars would've gotten them.
I agree. I like them too. When I was a kid one of my brothers bought a Rallye 350 for the hood. Someone had taped off all the stripes and painted the car gun metal grey. Actually didn't look too bad.

What they ask and what they get may be very different.
Original one I posted about is asking $43k, the one @fasteddy posted is asking $35k.
One is a post, one isnt; one is bench on is bucket; one has AC, one doesn't. Condition they look every similar. Biggest difference is documentation, $43k one has it, $35k doesn't. Is documentation (along with other differences) make it worth $8k more?

The more I look at the $43k one the harder time I have seeing it being worth that much. I love the documentation, buckets/console and that it is a 3:91 car, but it needs serious detailing/work under the hood and under the car. The interior looks original and tired, poor repairs done to the seats. Basically it needs a restoration, or just leave it the way it is and drive it. Too much in my opinion for an original driver. It would take a decent amount of time and money to get it in good shape. It sold at action on BAT for less than $20k in 2018. I know the prices on these have gone up, but I don't think they doubled in 5 years.
Keep in mind also that these cars rusted out in about 3-6 years in the rust belt. OEM quarter panels have not been available for a very long time, and not many would put the money into a Rallye 10-25 years ago to replace the quarters with NOS. The aftermarket quarters are ok, but not many take the time to install them properly, which can lead to ghost seams visible in certain conditions and future corrosion issues.
The other one in MN is scant on photos and is missing the wheel opening moldings, which could indicate quarter panel repairs. Hard to say what is is worth without more info/photos.
One other thing I would like to add is post coupe vs holiday coupe. There seems to be the mindset that the post coupes are more rare and cooler. They may be less of them out there, but I think that is because people generally like the post-less body better. I changed my mind on that after sitting in a Rallye post coupe. The door frame just gets on the way, and the mirrors have to be mounted so far back to let the wing windows open they seem out of place.
@fasteddy thanks for the in depth write up. I’ve been talking more to the $35k a little more, getting a bit more info about the car. Was able to get the vin and cowl body plate, car looks to be an f85 (3277) sports coupe instead of a Cutlass. There a distance in value between an f85 and a Cutlass when it comes to Rallye 350s? Cowl yeah also had a 900 trim code, any idea what that might be? Think it might refer to a bench and black interior. Here’s some of the engine pics he provided. Would the f85 model be the reason for the wheel well moldings missing or did all f85 and Cutlass come with them?
Awesome car and i agree one of the nicest ralleys ive seen..i have always loved these cars and that 350 never recieved the attention they deserved..the strength of the bottom end is awesome GLWS.
I believe you are correct on the 900 code for a black bench seat interior. I don't think the value between a f-85 vs Cutlass matters that much with a rallye. It more has to do with it being optioned the way you want it. Four speeds are worth a bit more. And by the way, don't believe the BS all over the internet that there where x# of 4 speeds, no one knows. There were certainly a higher percentage of 4 speed rallye 350s vs Cutlass or Cutlass Supremes, but perhaps not as many as 442s.
That is a bare bones car with manual drum brakes. The right fender has been replaced and there are not holes present for the rear wheel opening moldings. I am pretty sure all 350s got wheel opening moldings, but I might be wrong on that.
Personally, I would much rather have buckets than a bench (slide around much?) and not have a post car. This one looks like a decent restoration, but I would want to inspect the car closely to see what was done for bodywork on it.
I am in MN and would look at this for you, but it is a good couple hours away.

Good looking car. Has the mismatched fender been commented?
