This is not my car. A young couple asked to spread the word out and help find a new permanent home for a Rallye 350 that has been in their parent’s family since 1996. The car was “willed” and shipped to them few years ago. It is garaged in Texas and is rarely driven. The car is a well-preserved older restoration. During the 1990’s, the parents showed it at multiple Oldsmobile Club of America events in the north east region. Members of the Rallye 350 Chapter of OCA may remember this car from the New Jersey area. Overall it is in an Excellent condition and is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner that can take care of it, drive it, show it, and give it the attention that it deserves. Asking $35,000. Body:
This is a Lansing built "33687" Cutlass "S" Hardtop. It is a 4 speed, Non-AC with center console.
Excellent body and paint with correct stripes.
W-25 Factory Fiberglass Hood with steel frame
W-35 rear deck lid spoiler
D-35 1970 unique sport mirrors
N-10 dual exhaust with the cut out rear bumper
It has the correct smooth 1970 fenders.

Broadcast card shows paint code 51 51 Sebring Yellow but does not show W-45
The undercarriage can use detailing, but it still has the factory undercoating.
Interior:
Excellent Interior. Black buckets seats with black center console.
Rallye Pac Gauges (Tic-Tock-Tach)
N-34 Custom Sport steering wheel.
AM Radio.
Non-AC.
Shoulder Seat Belts
Under the Hood:
Oldsmobile L74 350 4-bbl. Number 6 Heads.
Muncie 4-speed transmission (Not sure if M-20 or M-21)
Correct carburetor 7040250 which was recently rebuilt.
Correct factory OAI Air cleaner (Ram Air for the Pontiac folks) with 5 drain holes and the large snorkel hole.
It has a 4-Core Radiator and top plate (forgot to check if is Harrison)
Center hood bumper for the OAI hood latch
Engine bay is very nice overall but can use some minor detailing for the purists.
Rear Differential:
Limited slip 12 bolt posi rear axle Not sure of the ratio
Brakes Suspension:
FE2 Rallye suspension with Manual Drum Brakes.
Wheels/Tires:
Correct Oldsmobile Super Stock III wheels with period correct Polyglas Firestone Wide Oval size (G70-14)

Nice car. I was wondering if it might be a QB motor. With the 4 core radiator and 4 speed I would think it should be. The carb is the right # for the QV but built after the car and must have been replaced. Maybe it had a 7040253 on it originally?

Dave, There were no pictures of the restoration. There is room in the price, but the couple recently turned down an offer in the very high 20's. The Olds National is coming up in June in Kansas. Several people from Austin are going there, If anyone is serious I can ask the owners if they want to have the Rallye delivered for pickup at the National Show in KS. It would be interesting to see how many points it would score at the show.
From what I am seeing it is a really nice Rallye 350. Most of these cars are not even close to correct. If the car has all the original parts it is an M-21 4 speed with the 3.91 rear end. They would not have had a 4 core in a 3.42 car.

Was a 4 core not an option without 3:91's? Could you order the 4 core by itself with 3:42's?
Just asking as I am restoring a 4 speed rallye with 3:42's and have yet to source a correct radiator. My car did not have a shroud or a clutch type cooing fan when I got it.

Someone else will have to answer this for sure but I do not think you could get the 4 core in a Rallye without 3.91 gears.
Your car would be correct if it is a non A/C car with 3.42 gears or less
I thought all the rallye's were W45 cars? Is there a picture available of the broadcast sheet? I'm shopping for a rallye and this car has my attention.

W-45 was the option code for the Rallye 350 so yes, all Rallye 350 were W-45. It is rare to have documents to prove a car is a Rallye 350. W-45 would have only been found on the build sheet but that is crazy rare to find in a Michigan car. Then you would need the window sticker or order information to prove it. Don't let all this worry you because the lack of documents does not really affect the Rallye 350 price much if any. W-45 was not on the broadcast card

The 4spd Rallye is located 30 miles NorthWest of Austin, Texas. The owner reached out to me sometime back to help spread the word among Oldsmobile enthusiasts. The car used to belong to her late father. To be clear, I’m not making anything on the sale. I helped draft the ad and screening for serious buyers. I will pm you contact numbers and you can negotiate directly with the owner.
This afternoon, we verified the rear end ratio to be 3:91 and that the numbers on the block match the last 6 digits on the VIN. Also it does have the 4 Core Harrison Radiator.
Lastly, I took the Rallye 350 for a short drive. It was a blast to drive. I didn't know how to upload a video here, so I am including the Instagram Links here:
Happy to close this thread. This Rallye350 was sold to another Oldsmobile enthusiast who found it on the OCA Facebook. It was a bittersweet day for the daughter, but is happy to know that a piece of her Dad's memories is in good hands.
