I am selling my red 1968 Cutlass S convertible with black bench seat seat interior. Original 6 cylinder engine & 2 spd auto. Power steering, power top Runs excellent and gets 20+ mpg. Car has a 69 nose on it. New gas tank, radiator, fuel pump, water pump, hoses, belts,wheel cylinders, brake shoes, and rear brake lines and more. 2.78 open rear. Car looks good in the street but has bondo around rear wheels and bottom of fenders. I patched a hole in floor behind drivers seat. This car makes a great, economical cruiser as it is. 14" x 6" G Body SSII's, 225/70-R14 BFG's. Needs a convertible top. If you drive this car, you will buy it. Asking $7,500 or best offer. I can't say I've ever seen a 6-cyl Cutlass before, but I have seen them with different year front clips. GLWTS.

I've seen a 68 cutlass S convertible with a 6 cyl and 2 speed. In fact, that is how mine was equipped when I bought it.
Only about 400 convertible 6 cylinder cars produced in 68.

Yes the car is rare, I've only seen 3 67-70 Cutlasses with a straight 6. It originally had manual steering which was very slow and hard at about 6.5 turns lock to lock. I couldn't stand the manual steering so I converted it to power steering and installed a later model G body power steering box which is great at 3 turns lock to lock.
