1970 442 Convertible

Not mine, but I was curious if anyone has looked at this car? Based on the paint code, is the current color original?

I guess rally red is pretty close to orange.

The cowl tag indicates color code 75. The car was originally matador red, not the current color.

nice looking car. Yes 1970 Rallye Red is more orange than red. Car should be Matador Red as stated above. It does have the correct pearl interior (977) and white top (A)

How much do you think the color change would affect the value of the car?

because its a 442 convert. and not a "W" convert, it don't think the value is in the slight color change. it's real value is in it's originality. do the parts numbers (engine, trans.) match the VIN. is the body rust free or full of fill etc. these are more important than color, in my opinion.

yes not much of a drop in value, especially since they used another 1970 color and to some a better color choice.

For that amount of money I would expect a decent repair on the console lid, especially since they claim "This car was restored in the recent years."
