Nice ride.
Poor car is shaking in its boots hoping someone doesn't try to crap it up into a 1969 H/O convertible clone...

Beautiful car, really nice. I wish I was independently wealthy. I would consider it.

Congrats, Randy. Well done, I think. Are you happy with that?

Yes, that worked out well. My reserve was $48K and the winning bid was $47K. I'm not exactly sure how this works just yet, but BaT came through with a statement that said if the final bid is "close" to the reserve, that BaT will fill in the difference. Apparently, $1K was considered "close" as BaT said they will send me the extra $1K. The experience on BaT was pretty good; I would do it again if I needed to. The experience with their "verified checkout process", something BaT has arranged through an outfit called Caramel Inc., hasn't been that good thus far. A day after the auction closed, we are still struggling with Caramel (it's an entirely on-line process, once you start it seems you can't go back and re-do it, and there is no one to talk with nor no one to email), as is the buyer, and neither of us are getting any traction. We may abandon that effort and do our own checkout with they buyer.

New owner got a great car, glad it 'nearly' met the reserve.

And a special thanks to bangscreech442 for the kind words he left in the comments on BaT. As I recall, there were a couple of other supporting comments on Bat by classicoldsmobile members that I appreciate very much as well. That was a good experience on Bat.
