For some reason, the forum software won't insert a link to FB Marketplace. Go figure. I used a tinyurl link to the ad to fake it out.
Be cautious that the seller is a clueless clown. It's not a "Cutlass 442 wagon". It's not a "factory original number match in big block motor" either - the engine is clearly a 350 (note the location of the strut bolt in the alternator bracket) and that sure looks like a Holley Street Dominator for an SBO in the photo. Also, the "12 bolt rear end with 373 gears and posi traction" raises questions since 3.73 gears weren't available for the "12 bolt" Type O axle.
Joe, I was talking to a friend about this and a question came up. We'd both seen big blocks in 1968-72 Vista Cruisers, but not in the flat top Cutlass Wagons of those years. Were they even an option? And Yes, I thought looking at the pictures it may be a 350 that compared to a Chevy engine looks like a big block. I love the red interior on this car but agree with the doubtful pedigree.

John, the BBO was only available in the 442 and Vista for the 1969 model year (this varies in other years). The RPO L77 police apprehender version of the 400 WAS available in lesser Cutlii with the B07 police package (witness the Cutlass S with L77 that Motor Trend tested in 1968), however for the 1969 model year only full size cars were offered in Oldsmobile's Police Apprehender program with B01 or B07 packages. For part of the 1970 model year the L33 455 2bbl was available in Cutlii sedans and wagons, until it was cancelled in Feb 1970. In any case, as I noted above, the alternator bracket clearly shows that this is an SBO.
A buddy of mine looked at this car in person. He said it is a 350 engine with #5 heads so possibly original. He also said the 4 speed setup looked factory. Not much on the trim tag.

Unfortunately there won't be on a 1969 cowl tag. Burgundy Mist (67) is the original color and red (915) is the original interior.
I’m surprised that the cargo area is so much rougher than the rest of the interior. Although the seller may not be dialed in on the car, I think it looks like a lot of fun and it would be hard to replicate for the money. Nice color combination with a gear stirring stick..many smiles per gallon!
I always like to post pictures before links are gone etc. I wondered why the car was still for sale. 20k is definitely the high end for this wagon. Looks nice. As always I would love to see before and after pictures. See what is under that paint. If it had a vista roof and a 455 it might be sold already.
