1969 442 Convertible for Sale - 455 4-Speed
I’ve decided to sell my 1969 442 convertible. It is a true 344 VIN car but was originally an auto car. It has a fresh 455 engine which is mated to a Muncie M20 4-speed. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smoothly. The color is burgundy mist with white stripes, black vinyl interior and a white top.
The car was restored 3 years ago and has traveled 12k miles since. The paint shines well and has good depth. I consider it to be a very nice driver quality paint job. There is a small 3/8”-1/2” crack above the decklid on the leaded-in joint. The stripes were painted on and clear coated over. The underside of the car and all body panels were stripped to bare metal prior to being primed and painted. I used DuPont 2570S epoxy primer on the bare metal panels.
The car received all new front and rear suspension components which included bearings, control arm bushings, steering box, tie-rod ends, body bushings, and ball joints.
The interior has a brand new dash pad that was refurbished by Just Dashes and is in perfect condition. All gauge lenses were replaced and the dash was stripped and painted. The seat frames were sandblasted and painted prior to receiving new foam and seat covers. The door panels are original and do show some warping.
The power windows and convertible top work well, as the top received brand new hydraulic cylinders. The car was originally an AC car and was converted over to non-AC. The blower motor only operates on high speed and the speedometer and clock do not work. Everything else including the AM radio works.
The 455 engine runs smoothly with good power and has excellent oil pressure.
A walk around video with the car running can be seen here..

The car is located near Greenville, South Carolina and I can be reached here or at 864-353-4255 and would be happy to answer any questions or
provide more pictures as I know this car inside and out. Price is $34k OBO and the car has a clean title.
