I am interested in selling my 1968 442 Convertible car that was in a front end collision recently. Front frame horn bent and other front end items were damaged and removed but kept for the time being including hood, fender, bumper, radiator support, and all trim and mounting accessories. Most of the items will require replacement.
On the positive side... although not original or correct for 68 it has a recently completely rebuilt and upgraded Olds 455 that has less than 1000 miles since the build, all engine specs can be provided as the build was performed by a reputable shop here in CT. TH400 transmission was professionally rebuilt at the same time. Convertible top was replaced along with the front bucket seat upholstery by the previous owner.
Interior can use some work to be a more comfortable driver but in decent condition. Body color was originally blue and some patch jobs with body filler have been done over the years. There is some body rust under the rear fenders by the wheel well that was probably patched at some point. Front floor was patched in some areas. Front disc brake conversion.
Car is as stated as a project, I had quite a bit of time and money invested to get it to where it was as a really fun driver with a lot of power since the rebuild. I have considered the idea of keeping it and making a long term dream car project but don't have the resources and would rather see someone use the car and give it the attention it should get. I have kept detailed receipts and part numbers for anything and everything I have purchased for the car that I would be happy to share with the buyer.
As said above feel free to PM with any questions or to come see the car. I would love to show it to any potential buyers, I am located in Central Connecticut.
I am asking $7,500 (basically cost of engine rebuild plus accessories) and seeing what kind of response I get, all offers considered.
EDIT: There is no title of the vehicle as one is not required for an older car in CT but it is currently registered and insured. Have an original front passenger Cutlass fender as well as some boxes of other original parts that are included.

This is such a tempting 442. I have 3 now to do but this one is running and wouldn't take much to get back together. Distance is a small issue too.... I'm in Idaho.
Now see, things like this get me in trouble because I start trying to justify getting it. As much as I would like to have and fix this '68, it would put the other projects further down the line getting fixed. Good luck with the sale.
