Very nice 67 442. Real deal car documented with broadcast sheet. New mechanicals. Runs and drives great with approx 450hp and 500ft/lbs, Automatic Transmission, console and floor shift, Matching numbers 400ci V8 rebuilt with only about 500 miles on it. Cold A/C, power brakes with front disc, power steering, rally gauge pack, new tires, new exhaust, nice paint, etc. Priced to sell at $28,750.00. phone 706-313-6396
A picture of the cowl tag would help. The head stamp on the RH head front with engine production number. Protecto-plate matching the vin to that production number. There is no "numbers matching" in 1967 as the engine does not have the vin (hence the comment on the protecto-plate). What rear end, ratio/open or limited slip? A picture of the axle tube with something like an SC would help.
You're going to have a hard sell proving that it is a 442 without an ironclad broadcast card and hopefully the protectoplate, as the best I can zoom in on the cowl tag shows it's a Fremont car, which does not have the typical Fisher body 442 callout in the tag, which is what is usually used, and why most cloned 67 442s are Fremont cars.
Also explaining the incorrect upholstery and air cleaner is good (and whether he has the original) and if the disc brakes are original or added. Also the brand of the aftermarket wheels.
Lastly, and most importantly, the engine should have shots of all casting numbers to show it is the correct engine, and the 100 extra hp and 50 extra ft lbs of torque should have some explanation of the work done on the engine.
For a true restored 442 with original powertrain, your price is very decent, so hopefully you have the stuff to show it isn't a clone.
That's a nice car indeed, one thing though 100 extra HP added to a 400E would require some real extra work. Like to see the 400E build sheet added to your listing, it would really help move your sale. Just thought not meant to be de-grading....
I have specs and dyno sheets etc.
The engine has Eagle H beam rods, Race Tec custom pistons, custom ring pak, 9.7:1, performer intake, Lunati custom cam, stock pump and pan, and mildy ported C heads.
