1966 Delta 88 425

Hey all! Recently picked up a 66 Delta 88 in near perfect condition. This car was owned by a car collector and always stored indoors. There is zero rust anywhere on the entire car, except for small bubbling near the rear window. Car has a 425 cu. in. Super Rocket mated to a TH-400.

All glass is in good condition except for a crack in the front windshield. Car was repainted at some point, but with the stock color (Laurel Mist). Interior is in excellent condition but could use a new carpet.

This car is probably the nicest 66 Delta you can find. Runs and drives perfect and never smokes at all. I only just signed up for the forums because I would rather see this car go to an Olds enthusiast than some Craigslist lurker.

I have the title to this car and I am the current owner. I can be reached on here through a PM or the email via the Craigslist ad. Located in central NJ.

Here it is!

That's a beautiful car in a body style that you don't see often. Good luck with the sale.

Handsome beast. Color? I'm guessing silver or frost green.

Also- are those 14" or 15" wheels/tires on there now? Picture it with a set of 1966 wire caps...

The color is Laurel Mist (blue/green). Has 15s on it right now and price is negotiable!

That sure is a nice looking car.

As they say, though, if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride...

If I may comment, looks like a beautiful and original car why the non stock wheel covers or rims?....my opinion it detracts from the cars great appearance. Trouble is just about nobody under the age of 65 wants a 4dr B body. It may help if you post asking price.

Untrue maniac! Im 33 and I want this car. I would drive it everyday and take care of it. Problem is I just wrecked my daily driver and have no money to spend. I avoided someone at an intersection and hit a tree! Its local for me also man its tempting.

Well I didnt say Nobody....I said next to nobody so that left the door open for ya! As for a daily driver man the parking lot dings start to appear, Old upholstery starts to come apart, dry weatherstrips start to allow moisture in etc. As much as I try to keep my daily drivers nice something always happens...and these are newer cars that you can get trim parts for. You would need to be sure all rubber brake, coolant hoses are recent and not 66 vintage... and dont forget that the 425 sitting under there is very thirsty! Just something to think about...

I used to think that way about more-doors until I bought the 76 Regency. Now, my opinion has changed to where I think a nice old car is a nice old car, no matter how many doors it has.

And when I look at styling of even "lowly" 4-door older sedans compared to what passes for styling now, the opinion grows ever stronger. There was never a doubt what a 1966 Oldsmobile was. When a car guy can barely tell the make of a modern car, much less the year, that tells you styling is mediocre if not downright banal.

My trouble is I don't have room for any more cars or time to drive and enjoy them, so I leave pretty things like this for someone else.

Hey 66Delta88: You have a fine lookin' car there. $6,000 seems to be a fair asking price, in my humble uninformed opinion. Don't be in a hurry to unload it. I believe that, you will get the money you are asking for it, towards the summer.
