1964 Starfire Convertible
SOLD!!!!!
PRICE DROP: $18,900 OBO
Located in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
See gallery of pics in my albums link: https://classicoldsmobile.com/g/user/68983
Highly-optioned car with 89,3xx miles. Power windows, power ventpanes, ac, cruise, remote driver’s side mirror, more. See attached pic of window sticker. Runs and drives very nicely, radiator was recored in 2017 along with new battery, new Hankook tires put on summer of 2019, and new back window as of 10/9/19. 394ci 345hp engine and 3 speed Hydramatic automatic transmission. Power steering pump rebuilt & restored July 2022.
Currently, the power top, ac, and cruise are non-functioning and in need of repair.
More pics available, just send an inquiry or check the album of pics in my profile. Seats and carpet are in very nice original condition, but the carpet on the bottom of both doors could use a refresh. The bottom of the door card on passenger door is a bit rough on the bottom edge.
As far as rust, there are a few spots of surface rust, mainly two spots on trunk lid and a few on drivers door. When I first purchased the car in 1998, I treated the spots with X-tend and primered. I have only lightly wet-sanded those spots, and you can see how they need to be sanded again.

i see it looks like the cruise control rod is missing and it looks like rust is starting to pop on the front fenders right by the hood hinges, these don't have full inner fenderwells and the fenderwells bolt to the wheel side of the fenders on the lip"note the big phillips screws" along hood lip.these are good for rusting between there and it spreads to the tops of the fenders.i had to cut mine out about 1 1/2 inches wide and foot long and weld in new pieces.

As to the rust, those are very small spots that you are referring to, and fairly unchanged in the 20+ years I have owned the car.

I love this car. Too bad I am short of cash. The 62-64s were My favorite Starfires. I have a 61 98 Coupe with the L75 engine. It is in need of restoration, but runs well. . I also have a 66 Cutlass Convertible that is very good restorabile and a good runner. A Colorado car. If you might be interested in a Trade, I am at jameswingers@gmail.com. Thanks.
