Thumbs up 1964 F-85 Sedan, Super Condition $5995

As happens often, I am loosing my butt, but here is a nice rare 64 F-85. 330 2-barrel V8 and automatic transmission recently rebuilt. Everything except for headliner redone in interior. AC, PS, PB, V8 all in good shape except AC fan does not always come on (does when it wants too). The AC on/off does work as does the entire system. Just not the fan at times. Blow cold. New paint. The F-85 drives like new. No slop or mechanical issues anywhere. Lots of new driveline and suspension parts. New windshield and body seals. Elec fan installed to help facilitate AC flow when idling or in slow traffic. Converted to R139 which needs flowing air. Of course the elec fan also provides additional radiator cooling. Good tires and brakes. I would be interested in hearing opinions on the value of this car. Selling for $5995 J'ville 904 860-2742 Jacksonville Fl. Thx again. Had a nutcase drive all the way down from Vermont to here (Jax Fl) to check out my F-85 for sale. He started and stopped the engine about 10 times. Claimed he could see air thru the sealant on the rear window, and then admitted he could not. Started disconnecting egr hose, took off air cleaner, claimed hood was rusted thru (was not), then started and stopped engine a few more times. (How good is that on the starter and battery). I informed him, he had no clue what he was looking for or what he was doing. He got upset and motored back to Vermont. Please no more like that. Must be somthing in the maple syrup up there.

Hey, not all of us Vermonters are nut cases. Probably just looking for an excuse to get away to someplace warm for a while.

In hindsight, I am glad the F-85 was not sold. I have decided to go ahead and keep it. The only reason I was selling was to recapture the garage space my new VW GTI was to occupy. But I will instead just build a carport off the garage front.
Your right and I am not labeling all Vermonters as headcases. The guy that came down was a nervous wreck. My impression was that he was trying to buy the F-85 and hide it from his wife, then got second thoughts.
