Would like to see a photo of the cowl tag. I see several things that were never on my original 1964 as received from the dealer.

Very nice looking car. Thanks for posting the video, Mike.

For the old people in the house. Like myself.

I know we aren't supposed to have any comments but could someone break this down for the masses?

The car can't be a 442. It was built in December 63 and production didn't begin on the 64 442's till Feb./Mar. of 64.

Don't ask anything about a car that is for sale here. You will get a time out.

B09 should be on the body tag?

Just in the interest of verification for potential buyers, the only thing on that data plate that could support it being a 4-4-2 (B-09) would be the build date, and that only rules it in or out rather than confirming anything.

That about right, Joe?

Build date and the 2L code for the four speed. And yes, these are necessary but not sufficient to prove a 64 is a real 442.

But based on the build date of December 1963 that would rule this out as being a 442, correct?

So a B09 on the tag does not confirm it to be a 442?

There isn't on this specific example, but I'm asking in general, B09 does not denote 442 on "proclaimed" 64 442 cars?

The B09 code never appeared on the cowl tag, whether the car is a real 442 or not.

The only place you would possibly find B09 is inside of the front fender written in crayon.
