You know if I had the cash they would already be at my house waiting for my boys to turn of age to enjoy them , but I don't so all I can do is let people know about them .

Yep, still have them. I haven't made any progress on selling, just worrying that they are slowly deteriorating from sitting!

Still here... Someone needs to buy these cars and preserve history!

If anyone has a nice Monarch 10EE lathe, I might just trade!

I should get serious and advertise these cars on eBay and KSL (local classifieds). I just can't stand the headache of selling cars, especially on eBay.

I still have the '64 442 and the '64 Cutlass. I can't face separating the package, since I was lucky enough to find a REAL '64 442, and then a couple of years later, the exceptional Cutlass.

I went back and read through your thread and wanted to ask you about the no floor hump. Was that for Lansing built cars? The reason I ask is I have a Fremont built Cutlass, 4 speed car but not a 442. It has a hump under the console. John

On the hump question, only thing i can add is my lansing 64 also has a hump
and its a 2LG console car. CRH has a 2L non Console car. Another note is the 64 hump is smaller in dia than the 66 -67 hump. Most likely to due to the hurst competition shifter in those years. Is it possible that CRH's car had his hump cut out or opened up for another shifter or maybe non console cars just had the cut-out and no hump at all.

64-67 cars did not have a hump. Didnt matter if console or no console, same flat plate over the hole in the floor. GTOs and Chevelles had a "hump" if you got a console or not.

Olds floor hole plate. Which is totally different from a hump the other makes used.

OK, bad memory on my part. I thought it was more pronounced than that. Here's a photo from underneath the car and your right, more like a flat plate than hump.

Not necessarily. There are cars that actually have humps. Thus the term.

TK-65 is right. My memory is rusty (since I haven't been working on my cars for a while now, due to being preoccupied with machine tools ) but I believe Pontiac A-bodies in '64 and '65 (and probably '66 and '67) had the hump if they had no console.

My Freemont built '64 GTO has the original hump.

Is the 2016 price the same as the 2012 price?

Yes, same price. I've told people before that I would go cheaper. As many may know, I haven't put much effort in selling them. And that is, of course, my own fault.

The only reason I updated this ad is because a friend at work asked about the '64s.

I'm so afraid of another eBay fiasco... But I should do it before these two cars crumble away completely!

Do it! I'll hook you up with a good price!

I hate to see the cars getting zero care, other than being dutifully covered in layers of tarps. Having a young family (and getting sidetracked on fixing up old machines ), I find myself losing hope of ever restoring the 442. I don't have to sell them, but it does the future restorer a disservice to allow them to deteriorate.

A gentleman here in Utah has a '26 Model T coupe, rust free and older restoration, that he is asking $9,000 for. Talk him down as low as you can, bring it to my house and I'll trade straight across!

It would be much easier to tinker with and store, rather than a project looming over my head. What is most crazy is that I would even consider trading one of my all-time favorites for such a "common" car ! It's taken quite a while, but I'm starting to learn a bit of the phrase "priorities change".

When I get the guts to again deal with the drama of selling a project on eBay, I'll pop them on.

You could always ebay " fiasco" each car. The results may be better than together.

Either way I am interested in the cutlass as well. PM me a Buy it Now price if you wish.

I'm still afraid of separating them! You guys are probably right...better total amount if sold separately.
