1962 Jetfire Turbo 4 speed

1962 Jetfire Turbo 4 speed

A dealer associate just came across a garage find. Complete but will need some minor rust repair at bottoms of fenders and 1/4s. Floors and trunk solid.

Not running but is all there.

Anyone looking for something like this?

$8,000.00

Couldn't be at an any worse time for me but I may be interested in it. If it needs rust repair they will never see $8000 for it though. Jetfire's are a special car but if they need restored don't often get over $5000. If the turbo and injection is still there it will need rebuilt for a fact and that is $3000 alone. If it was a car converted to 4 bbl it will be another $1000 to $2000 to get the parts needed to convert back to turbo.

It's all complete and not too many 4 speed cars. I get that its not a high dollar car but is Kool.

Parked in the 1970s with 44,000 original miles.

I have seen that wagon, actually looks like I could take mine and that one to make one nice car. Mine has all good glass and drivetrain but bad body

I've been eyeballing a package deal for 2 converts and a post car. Id like a jetfire but the only reason to look for one is the hard top body and trim otherwise I can turbo a cutlass and be just as happy.

I wonder if they are the two that came from san Jose/san martine CA.
Some body bought 4 cars, two convert, a wgn, and a tubo car.
Joe P bought the wgn.
Where are the two convert's at, near you I guess.
Anyway the two convert's I saw where very nice cars, both automatic's.

Good luck.

After lots of negotiations I brought this car home today. I drove to Chicago and after 12 hours I am back. I almost came home without it. If my wife didn't come with me I would have come home without it. A little worse off than I was hoping and figured out that it is not original paint. I almost walked away but the wife said I was not going home without it. What an awesome wife God give me!

I will start a fresh thread on this car but here is a picture of it.

MAJOR THANK YOU TO STEFANO! Now that it is home I am so happy to have it.

They never made one in convertible. A couple guys have made a convertible Cutlass into one though. This picture is after I got it home.

He has your top plate and I forgot to get the gallon of Turbo Rocket Fluid. I am going to have issues getting the title taken care of. I will call him tonight and see about the fluid jug.
