1955 Olds Super 88 4dr w/Post

Purchased this 55 Super 88 with intentions to redo. Then almost immediately another project came along. Not enough room for both, and the other is closer to being finished. So, it’s looking for a new home.

Mathis is an Arizona 1955 Olds Super 88 4 Dr Post car. 324 4 BBL w/automatic. No factory air. Interior in car is original but some of the best I’ve seen on an I restored vehicle of this age. All buttons, ***** and handles are there and shiny, full gauges unmolested. It even still has the glove box.

Car comes with with all of its stainless/chrome excluding the rear bumper. I’d rate the stainless as a 7, some dings but most is in great shape.

Indo not know if the motor runs, car is missing following items: radiator, generator, air cleaner assembly and battery cables. I tried to rotate the motor, did not turn. I have not removed plugs or anything so not sure if just high compression or bad.

Floors are are solid except the trunk. There is rust in both rear floor corners. Doors open and close with a nice solid thud. Another rare thing I’ve found on unrestored cars this old. Both front door glasses are cracked. Rest of the glass is good condition. Previous owner started body work on right rear quarter, my intention was to just replace the 1/4, very poor body work there.

Car is is located in the northern part of Buckeye, AZ and is in a garage. This is a suburb of Phoenix, basically the northwest corner of the Phoenix Valley.

I do do not have the means to transport this car myself, buyer will need a trailer or I can work with a transport company of their choosing.

Title: clear

Price: $3000 OBO. Big issue is I need the garage space so if it’s a serious and reasonable offer I will most likely accept.

Please do NOT call number on windshield, it is to the person I bought the car from.

Interior before it was vacuumed.

Night it came home.

Do not know if motor is good or bad.

It has its glovebox. Look at those ***** and buttons.
