Before and After Paint Restoration

I followed the single stage paint restoration found here: (a lot to read but good!): https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...ge-paints.html

Here are some pics from the Facebook Ad for the car, which I think didn't do it justice (and thankfully for me I think caused it not to sell as quickly) BEFORE pics:

Then here are some pics the delivery company took (delivered from Wisconsin to Minnesota 4 hour drive) more BEFORE pics:

AFTER spending 15 hours on the paint with method listed at top of this post (still has its flaws but deeper color and shine):

The old cars looked good when they were waxed. "Turtle Wax" paste and lots of rubbing always worked before.

Ah yes, my dad was all about Turtle Wax, and I remember seeing Turtle Wax in my grandmothers garage. The final stage here is plain old Meguiars Gold Class Carnuba Plus paste wax. But before that, clay bared and used Meguiars "#7", almost used a whole bottle. Using the #7 to restore/feed the old single stage paint (car was repainted sometime in 80's maybe), keeping it on for 12 hours, then 2-3 more applications of it on key places.. then sealed it with the carnuba wax.

Great job. It is amazing what a lot of elbow grease will do. It helped taking that ugly trailer hitch off too. I think I saw this car on cars dot com. I remember that ugly trailer hitch. Enjoy.

Thanks!! The rims are Pontiac Rally's available same year Pontiacs, up to I believe 1977. They are painted black chrome. I would have gone Olds SS1 but can only easily find those in 14", the Pontiacs are 15", easier to find tires for!
Normal look for them is like this:

Yes, that hitch had to go for me! Previous owner I think liked to tow a fishing boat to the lake, but I've got other vehicles if I need to tow something!
