windsheild reveal moulding clips

How does these reveal moulding clips attach around the windsheild? How many needed per piece? I have a 1968 coupe with a vinyl top I'm trying to put the windsheild trim back on.

The clips slide onto a stud that is welded to the windshield opening- five or six across the top and three or so on the vertical pillar...
