68 Brake Booster Vacuum Line

I was looking around the usually sites to replace the brake booster line for my '68 350, but I only see that all these sites offer 69-72. Can my '68 use the same fittings and line that is only listed for 69-72? If not what alternatives do I have?

Thanks for your time

I have a 68 w/ a 455, I don't see why it would be any different. You can go with the elbow shaped brass fitting off your intake manifold to rubber hose to your check valve. Or the metal tubing from a dual threaded elbow to rubber to your check valve. I bent and flared mine with the double threaded elbow and flair fitting to metal tubing, hose and pinch clamps. 10 bucks if you already have the tools. Hope this helps.

I would like to go from my intake manifold straight the the check valve, so I'll spend the $30 to see if it works.

It looks like you live pretty close to me Bill. My friend's parents have a place in EDH.

If you ever need help with anything let me know. There are afew of us up here. Spent half the day working on my buddies 70-W today. First start on a fresh rebuild! Just PM me and if we can't figure it out there are several others in the area that have forgotten more than I'll ever know!

I probably should have said that when I meant close I meant Sacramento, but eventually I will need some help with breaking this engine in. It was rebuilt a couple years ago and due to some circumstances I have yet to fire it up.

I'll post more about the car's story, when I get time, in the newbie forum. This summer I want to get as much done to the engine dressing and electrical before I go back to work as a teacher.
