1970 Cutlass Supreme Metering Valve Seized

Restoring a 1970 Cutlass Supreme, power disc brakes with metering valve and distribution block. I have new components for every part of the brake system except the metering valve. My OEM valve is seized. I know these were discussed in an older thread. My question is, do they make aftermarket replacement metering valves? I can't seem to locate unless I'm just not searching the right way.

Thanks.

I believe The Parts Place and/or Inline Tube sell new/repro '70 metering valves. Fusick Auto Parts as well along w/other vendors (non-Olds). Sometimes also called "hold off valve".

Just put "1970 Olds Cutlass brake metering valve" in your Internet search bar.

Thanks. Found some. I have it removed. I may try to clean it to see if fluid flows through it. The test button is definitely seized. I guess if it flows okay, that would mean it is working properly and just wouldn't have a way to test it? Just trying to save the 80+ dollars if I can. I'll find out after I get the system together and try to bleed the fronts.

Biggest problem with them is the crud build up in the cast iron assembly. If you can disassemble and get a "rebuild" kit, if they even make any, you could redo it and gain your function back. I've rebuilt the combination disc/drum for newer vehicles, but not any of the 70 and early style hold offs.

Maybe this is what you're looking for if a rebuild is needed.

Toro, awesome. Thanks. I'm going to try to get a part number off my original and figure out how to disassemble. I'll let you know if I rebuild or buy new. Thanks again for the help all.
