Semi Metallic vs. Ceramic Pads

I am going to change out my front brake pads very soon and decided to go with Wagner Thermo-Quiet (have heard alot of good things about the pads)

Just wondering if I should go with the Semi Metallic's or Ceramic's

I would go with ceramic if you can. I went with semi metalic and they make a huge mess on the rims.

If that's all your changing from the OEM parts Id suggest using Semi-Metallic. Ceramics will be hard on an "OEM" rotor, especially an offshore part. I prefer to use the softer pads to get longevity out of the rotor. Id rather replace pads. If you want the ceramics get a rotor intended for them.

Ceramic work great on rotors made for them (i.e. 911, Z06 etc.) I wouldn't waste my money on them for a cruiser and as mentioned they will chew your rotors away like they are paper.

The car was designed for Semi Metallic, so use those. Ceramic is much harder and will make your stopping distances greater for the same pedal effort. Also they will wear the rotors faster as mentioned. My Caddy has ceramic and I hate them. The wheels stay clean but the pedal effort is 3x as compared to my 86 Cutlass.

BTW, what is up with your cell number? Just a recording "subscriber does not accept incoming calls."
Did your provider give you their 'economy plan'?
