Rotor/Spindle Rear/Inner Grease Seal

I can't recall... should the rear/inner grease seal (I am using Timken #8705S seals) that fits at the rear of the rotor be 'flush' with the end of the rotor... or banged it further until it is closer to the rear race/bearing?

Just make it flush and that is good enough. It's just a seal so driving it in further provides no additional benefit.
