I am doing brakes on my 67 Cutlass and when I disassembled the rear I noticed the spacer bar is missing on both sides. When I looked on opgi the bar is completely flat but on ebay it had a step up. Both places say theirs will fit.Does anyone know which is correct or does it matter?

 

Looks like an optical dilution to me but I can be dilutional at the best of times.

Those are pictures of identical parts - I'm not sure what your question is.

And that's not a "spacer," it's the emergency brake actuator strut.

I have seen two styles of the strut. Completely flat is one style. The second style has a "step" up at one end. I was wondering which was correct for the 67. I did know its function but OPGI and ebay call it a spacer bar/ strut that's why I called it that.

 

It operates the emergency brake.
Notice one end has a wider notch because that end fits over 2 pieces. The other end has places sticking out, this holds a spring that keeps pressure on it. The spring in semi-oval.
