Rear Brake Cylinders and Shoes

Greetings group, I'm looking for some guidance and information. I have a 1957 Olds 3rd member in my 1955 Chevy. It has a blown wheel cylinder and the shoes are pretty soaked with brake fluid. I don't know what model the rear is out of. I guess the question is, are all the rear cylinders the same? What about brake shoes?? Any help will be greatly appreciated. The only thing that I'm sure about is the it is 4.10 posi.

Post pictures of the rearend. Center section, yoke, rear cover, to start. Don’t zoom in excessively. Folks will be able to ID what you have with enough pictures.

I am about +90% sure all the rear ends in 57 were the same. That is a tough rear end.

All 57 & 58 Olds used the same rear brake cylinders. Factory # 5456504 (rh) & 5456505(lh).
Brake shoe coverage is even more broad.
1954 thru 1963 all models except F-85. Factory # 5461645

Greetings group, thanks for your information and reply's. I was able to order some new cylinders and shoes. I tried to post up some pictures, but I keep getting error messages. I'll get it figured out and post em up.

If the wheel cylinder bores are not pitted, they are a simple rebuild rather than buying new.

True, but they are cheap enough just to replace them

Except the replacements are probably going to come from China.

But that does not automatically make them bad. Where do you think the rebuild kits come from?

I didn't say it made them bad but the odds of it are more likely. Most brake parts are made in China.
