power steering hose fittings?

power steering hose fittings?

Hello..
I know in the c-10 world a round the mid 70's they changed fittings on the high pressure hose at least to the box..


When if ever did they on the cars. olds cutlass?
I'm going to need to order one for my 1975. and like to get the correct one the first time..

Somewhere in that neighborhood, yes. Note that both fittings will be either metric or flare. Might be best to take off one hose and see if there's a flare or an o-ring in there. The fitting on the pump should match.

GM changed to o-ring seals as opposed to flare seals across the board on the Saginaw steering box for the 1979 model year. The flare nut threads are the same, just the sealing method changed. You can use an o-ring box with flare nut hoses by inserting flare adapters in the ports in the steering box. I did this to use a Monte SS box in my 67 Delta.
