Parking Brake pedal Assembly on 67 Toronado

Good day, does anyone have experience they can share about replacing the parking brake pedal assembly on an early toronado.? I removed the 4 bolts in the front (in red on the picture) and the nut on the bolt that goes through the firewall (in blue).

But there still seems to be a lot in the way that is preventing me from removing the unit. Do I need to remove the fuse panel? Are there other things I need to remove?

The structural support (in yellow) does not seem to be something that can be removed.

If you have done this before, please share your experience.

Also, it is likely I will need a working replacement pedal assembly. If you have one, please let me know.

Thank you for your time
