New front drums

I bought a new set of front drums for my 68 442 and it appears that the new drums lugs holes might be undersized. The new drum lug holes are .452 dia and the hub lugs are .562 outside dia common to the serrated flange of the lug bolt. I know the drums are pressed onto the hub but .110 seams a bit of a stretch to be pressed onto the hub. I was wondering if I'm over thinking this and just need to press the drums onto the hubs. On used drums, I would just tighten the wheel and the drums would be repressed back onto the hubs. My luck, I recycled my old hubs, so I have no way to check those dia to see what they were at. Was wondering if anyone has run into this and any suggestions. Thanks.

Apparently those drums are for slip-on applications (the 0.452 hole fits over the 7/16" diameter stud). Chevies used this configuration. The knurl on the studs is shorter so it does not engage the hole in the drum.

You could get new studs with a shorter knurl & the drums should fit fine.

I often wondered why some cars had removable drums & the others didn't.
