Help finding master cylinder pushrod
Help finding master cylinder pushrod
Hi CO.
I have been tracking down parts using the “low cost disk brake swap” that Joe made. Unfortunately many part numbers are no longer good or parts aren’t available. I have found pretty much everything but the booster to dual master cylinder pushrod. I have power drums now. Can anyone help me out? It would save me 100s if I can use the rock auto master cylinder. Thank you!

Are you talking about the pushrod in the link? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Right-Stuff...53.m1438.l2649
The pushrod you want is Right Stuff P/N R04, the short one.

As it turns out you don't even need that anymore. You can buy a disc brake M/C with the deep pushrod hole, which bolts to your 64-66 booster with no changes needed. Here's one. Look for the "deep hole" notation. Some vendors sell only M/Cs with the deep hole now, and include a spacer to use if you need one with a shallow hole.
