Fusick's repro master cylinder
Fusick's repro master cylinder
Anyone bought and installed their repro dual chamber master?

For those who did, what are your comments? Is it worth the 100 bucks?
I am looking for a reliable one that is close to original style.
If I weren't so **** about it looking original, i would spring for a 30 dollar one at rockauto...

I guess that's moot now that your rebuild is done. Obviously that's not a big ticket seller... I decided to trash my old MC because the cost of doing it up here was more than the cost of a new one. I might change it out to a Fusick one later, but for now the one I bought off the web (for around 25.00) is doing exactly what it's supposed to. We'll see how it continues next year.
Rob,
Here is the correct master with the correct casting number. Just need to rebuild it.

Rob has already done his. I was just replying to an old thread. I think the idea he was trying to check out was if it was cheaper to buy a new one from Fusick (quality) or rebuild his old one. He had both his MC and Brake booster rebuilt. They are both back in Lady now.
The MC I had was a skuzzy aftermarket thing that I could see going out soon. I really wanted to get a new one that was original looking, with the bleed screws on it. That appearance cost me $72 rather than 35 (or whatever) for a generic at rockauto, but I really wanted the look. Just did not know how well they fit and functioned. After all they are repros.....
I got mine from Pirate Jack's Hot Rod shop and is a very nice repro of the original. Looks much like Fusick's - same one maybe?
Anyway it seems to be okay but I need to bleed the brakes more to know for sure.
If anyone has an original master with the bleeders, do NOT throw them away. They are still wanted dead or alive by rebuilders and resto shops. Brake booster rebuilders are also wanting to buy MC caps that have references to Delco brake fluid stamped on them.

Dang it! 3 weeks too late with the warning.......
