Front wheel hub

Hello and a happy new year to everybody.

I was going to order new inner seals for the wheel hubs when I noticed that the seals on the rear and left sides were different.
(This car has front drum brakes.)9
One of them was a felt seal with a flange. This one was stamped National 7607.
According to The Rockauto catalog this is the correct seal for front drum brakes.

The other side had a rubber seal with a larger outer diameter. The dimensions on this one are the same as on National 8705S.This seal is for front disk brakes according to Rockauto.

What I am wondering about is if this is the only difference between the hubs for drum and disk brakes. The bearings seems to be the same, but I have to check this more closely.

Looks like the 7607 seal is correct by another parts store here in the US

I probably have a hub for disk brakes on one side of the car,but is the oil seal bore diameter the only difference between them?

Apparently the hub with the 7607 seal is an original 68 drum brake hub. The other hub with the 8705 seal appears to be 1969-up. I'm surprised that the 68s use different seals for drum and disk hubs, since the wheel bearings are the same for both. Apparently GM figured this was a stupid idea also, since for 69-up the drum and disk hubs both use the same 8705 seals as well as the same bearings.

7607 is for 1966 back, felt originally but now often come with a rubber lip seal, 2.33" hole in hub for the seal. 8705 is 67-74 A body, Nova, etc. 2.40" hole. Spindle size is the same. These seals are for drum brakes; presumably discs take the same but IDK.
