Front Drum Question - Hole Size? part number?

67 442, power drums.

All the aftermarket stores show Wagner BD 60198 front drums, so I bought pair.

the pattern is fine, and it fits over the threaded portion of the wheel studs perfectly.

The problem is the 'studs' have almost 1/8" 'serrated' coming through the wheel flange/hub so the holes in the drum don't fit down over them. there is no way it would tighten over as it far to much difference in size.

I either need a drum with larger holes or a stud that the serrated length does not extend beyond the hub flange (or I need hubs that have smaller holes as a regular stud isn't going to be big enough for the hole).

Is this something typical, different on mine for some reason or what?

I'd post a picture, but I don't know how as it asks me for my 'url'???

Thanks for help.

I'd just get a drill bit large enough that you could open up the stud holes in the new drum in order to clear the serations on the studs.

Olds used the studs to retain the drum to the hub, mainly for assembly line reasons. You can either have the drum properly pressed onto the hub, or slightly open the holes in the drum. The drum pilots on the center bore anyway, so slightly opening the holes is no big deal. I've driven lots of Oldsmobiles with the drums loose on the hubs (until I converted to discs, that is).
