I wanted to order a new set of drums for the front of my 68 cutty and when i received them they were about half of the depth that is on the car currently and it was the only part number they had at this place. i tried others but most say they can't get them. Now the ones that are currently on are roughly 4" deep does anyone know if i have something different or ran into this problem trying to locate the right ones? Where can i find these?

I never heard of any difference in front brake drums. Rears on Vista Cruiser are deeper but only by a half inch. Maybe post a pic of what you are working with.

they measure about 4" deep and about 10-10.25" in diameter and seem to be bolted on to the hub

They are probably rear drums instead of front drums.
