Early '60s Power Steering Reservoir Caps-Where to buy 'em?
The power steering fluid cap on my 1964 Jetstar 88 is leaking badly, thanks to the dry-rotted rubber seal. Is there any source of new ones for these cars? I haven't had any luck finding one at parts stores or through Google searches.
This is the most similar pump I could find: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Oldsmob...6f11b8&vxp=mtr

I don't know if the gasket in question is flat or round, If flat you probably could cut one out of thick gasket material, if round try finding a O ring that size at a industrial supply house , they usually have a large selection with all kinds of diameters and thickness....Just a thought....Tedd

Fusick does not show anything like this in either their big car catalog or their Cutlass catalog. They have fuel filler caps, radiator caps, and oil fill tube caps, but no power steering fluid reservoir caps. I'm guessing there just isn't a demand for something like this.
This whole conversation made me go out in the garage just now and look at the cap and seal on the reservoir on my '67 Delta 88. Until now, I never paid any attention to it (other than to remove it and look inside to check the fluid level). The rubber seal looks almost as good as new, and it's just a simple ring. It looks like it wouldn't be too difficult to cut something to match it out of a piece of gasket material.
