drum to disc on '63 Olds Super 88

Good morning

New owner of a beautiful 4 door '63 Olds Super 88. I bought this car with air ride and 20s already on it. I'm in the process of cleaning up the previous owners mistakes and ugliness. I am curious if anyone has ever done a drum to disc conversion on these kind of cars? Thanks in advance.

Not sure what's available for the fronts now, at one time you had to send in a set of spindles for machining to adapt discs to them.

Scarebird has had a disc kit available for the 57-64 Olds and Pontiac rear axles for many years.

Next the brake discs and calipers were installed in front . Discs were checked for run-out ;

Scarebird brackets and hubs , '72 Cutlass calipers , and '76 Ford T-Bird rear rotors .

Most kits for this conversion will leave you wishing that you'd just done a good overhaul on the drum system.

That's what I would do is go through the drum brakes completely and they do work very well.

Scarebird is going out of business, and doesn't list a kit for 63 thru 68 Olds anymore.

Besides, the name "Scarebird" doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in their product.
