Do I have a Bendix or Moraine m/c ?

Hi,

I want to order a m/c seal kit but can't figure out which one I need.
The car is a 1967 98.

How can I find out, or can someone maybe tell from the attached pic?

Thanks,
Rod

Looks like a Bendix. Those were usually painted black (sometimes gray) and had mostly smooth surfaces. Moraines were a gold cad plated color and had several "dimples" on the surface. Bendix are usually smaller diameter than Moraine too.

Never understood why Oldsmobile didn't stick to one supplier on brake boosters and steering components, or why they didn't at least keep the same supplier on the same carlines.

Based on the picture and the brake booster, I'm going to guess that's a Bendix unit. Take a look here and see if this helps:

Delco Boosters are usually cadmium-plated and they should have the "Moraine" stamp somewhere on them. It should be easy to find. Your unit looks like the bendix units from the link above.
